The Yigong Tunnel is the longest tunnel on the Sichuan-Tibet Railway, with a total length of 42.5 kilometers. Located on the Ranwu-Tongmai section of the Sichuan-Tibet Railway, the tunnel is currently more than halfway completed. Construction of the Yigong Tunnel faces extremely high technological challenges, including high altitude and complex geological conditions, making construction extremely difficult.
The Yigong Tunnel is not only one of the key projects of the Sichuan-Tibet Railway, but also a significant milestone in China's railway construction.
